ECON Students please take note:

MATH 208 is no longer available after the April 2023.

Students currently declared in the BSc program who have not taken MATH208 yet, should either take the longer MATH sequence (MATH100/109, MATH211, and MATH200) or ask for MATH211 to be substituted for MATH208. While Academic Advising has been informed about this substitution of MATH211 for MATH208, you still need to ask Academic Advising to make the adjustment on your CAPP report to meet the BSc program requirements.

If you don’t have MATH208 with a minimum of B, you will need a minimum of B in MATH211 to take ECON350 and 365. In order to register for ECON365 or ECON350 in fall with MATH211 instead of MATH208, please email [email protected] and ask for a pre-requisite override. No need to fill in a form; just put “MATH211 instead of 208 for ECON350 202309” or “MATH211 instead of 208 for ECON365 202309”, your name and student ID in the subject header and request the override.

Note: If you started out as an engineering student and have MATH110 with a B or higher, that also counts as a substitute for MATH208 with a B of higher.
