Pregnancy 24/7 Research Study Researchers at the University of Iowa are recruiting pregnant women for a study examining movement p This information will be kept confidential.

The purpose of this study is to measure patterns of movement and health in women who are pregnant. We are recruiting a total of 500 women to take part in this study. Participants must be in their first trimester and between 18-45 years old. Participants will have one in-person visit and two virtual visits (three study visits total), one each trimester of pregnancy. If you are eligible to participa

te, at each visit you will be asked to:

Answer questionnaires
Wear small monitors on your thigh and wrist for one week following each study visit
Have your blood pressure and weight measured (visit 1 only)
The first study visits will take place at the Clinical Research Unit at the University of Iowa Hospital, or at the Physical Activity and Women’s Health Laboratory, which is located in the Field House next door to the Hospital. The study will also use your medical records to collect details about your pregnancy such as weight, blood pressure, glucose tolerance test, and pregnancy outcomes. You can earn up to $150 for completing all three study visits. Participation in this study is voluntary and you are free to discontinue at any time.
