After the preliminary rounds of the 2021 Asian British Parliamentary Debating Championship, all UPDS teams made it to the top 16 teams of Asia!

🏆 UPD 2 (Bea Legaspi & Miguel Sulit) breaks 9th to the Octofinals
🏆 UPD 1 (CJ Carlos & Pep Danguilan) breaks 11th to the Octofinals

UPD also has 2 judges who are qualified to judge the outrounds!

The San Pedro College proudly presents its first-ever debate tournament, the Domini Canis Debate Cup. The debate cup is open to all official highschool and college student debaters across the Philippines. The event will happen on October 28-30, 2021. What’s more? There is NO REGISTRATION FEE!

The Domini Canis is the flagship competition of the school’s month-long 76th United Nations Founding Anniversary celebration. The emphasis lies on the SYNDESEIS 2021 theme, “Creating Connections Through UN-SDGs.” Debaters, gear up, for we are waiting for you here in SPC. The cut-off for the registration form will be on October 23, 2021.

The La Salle Debate Society (LSDS) has always been a society that fosters not only intellectual discourse but also proper and upright leadership.

In the wake of a global pandemic, multiple human rights abuses, and widening socio-economic inequality, it is high time we get the leaders we deserve—those who are honest, competent, and diligent even in the face of overwhelming adversity.

In line with this, the LSDS, both current and alumni debaters, proudly supports presidential candidate Leni Robredo. We believe she has the utmost capability to lead the country into the future. From her honesty and humility in actions as the Vice President to her unwavering dedication in supporting pandemic frontliners and survivors, Leni has the integrity and moral courage to stand and deliver what the country needs.
