The Harford County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (HCAC-DST) was happy to spread some Christmas cheer to the residents at Sterling Rehabilitation Center by donating more than 100 bags of holiday goodies, including books, sweet treats and cold weather items. Another annual holiday service event in the books. Special thanks to HCAC-DST’s Emergency Response Team for their coordination, and a big THANK YOU to all who contributed.

We are now accepting contestant applications for our February 8th Youth Oracle Contest. Harford County Middle and High School Contestants will be asked to deliver an original 4 to 5 minute speech on the theme: "A Dream Deferred is a Dream Denied!"

Thanksgiving is often associated with a great meal with family and friends, all those holiday favorites that make time with people we love even more special. For some, creating this special meal is more challenging than ever. Many local food banks/pantries are providing an unprecedented level of assistance to their communities, and we're here to support them.

The Harford County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will be collecting nonperishable food items on November 2 with all donations going to the Harford Community Action Agency (HCAA) for their community holiday support https://harfordcaa.org/. Anything you can spare....a few boxes of potatoes, a few cans of gravy or cranberry sauce, boxes of stuffing....it will all help to make someone's Thanksgiving a little more special.

The collection will be held at Redner's Warehouse Markets (1002 Joppa Farm Road, Joppatowne, MD 21085). We appreciate your support!!

Mental health matters....all throughout the year. We’re back with another event in our mental health programming series.

Join the Harford County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for a Mental Health Summit to learn about the tools, techniques and resources to address domestic violence, su***de prevention, grief recovery and more. The event is free and open to the public. It includes a panel presentation with the local Sexual Assault/Spouse Abuse Resource Center (SARC) team, breakout sessions and more.
