Let's get crafty! Participants will learn techniques using a water-soluble pen, a 4″x6″ pad and a small paint set to capture what they see in 25 minutes or less. With minimal equipment, portability, speed, no interruptions and no clean up, these classes are ideal for a timid beginner or an advanced artist. Register for all four classes or individual sessions.

Let's dance! Belly dance has its origins in Egypt and is known in Arabic as raks sharki, or “dance of the East.” Belly dance was originally an informal social dance performed at gatherings and celebrations. We will look at the history of the dance form from its origins to modern day, as well as break down the basic hip and torso isolations for which it's known. The course concludes with a short performance by the instructor and an invitation for students to try some of the movements.

Liora is a professional belly dancer, local instructor in Austin, and a longtime performer with the Hands of Fatima at Sherwood Forest Faire in Paige, Texas.

Did someone say book club? Sign me up! Kate Bowman temporarily moves to her grandmother's Missouri farm with her husband and baby son. Come learn more! Emotions can powerfully affect what people think, say and do. Examining their influence as they relate to money management can be quite profitable. This course will cover the science behind emotions and money as it relates to spending behavior. This course will also introduce positive psychology and interventions from this emerging field that are applicable to building well-being within one's financial life.

Instructor James Wigen will teach participants the ins and outs of selling covered call options, how they generate additional income from dividend and non-dividend paying stocks, and how this strategy reduces risk in an investment portfolio.
