Jennifer (Scott) Jordan, a 1999 graduate and Social Studies teacher at Abilene High School in Abilene ISD, was selected as one of this year's nine recipients of the 2024 B.E.S.T award! Mrs. Jordan is not only a respected Social Studies educator but also the Social Studies Department Chair and Prom Committee Chair. She goes above and beyond to serve her students and the community.

The Baptist Educators Serving Texans (B.E.S.T) Award honors Christian educators living out their faith among their students. Congratulations Mrs. Jordan! Thank you for representing Hardin-Simmons!

This year, we are honored to recognize Senator James Lankford for his outstanding leadership and commitment to service, embodying the legacy of Dr. James B. Simmons. The Simmons Award is presented to those who, like Dr. Simmons, "use their God-given talents and abilities to break down barriers in their respective fields and who demonstrate acts of determination or courage."

This evening not only celebrates the spirit of service but also supports a worthy cause--- raising scholarships for Hardin-Simmons University students. The first two Simmons Dinners raised over $125,000 in scholarships for Hardin-Simmons students, and we look forward to continuing this tradition.
