Through their leadership on campus, academic excellence, and commitment to Christian service, student leaders across ACU live out the university’s mission every day. Each year, academic departments nominate outstanding seniors, and the ACU Faculty Senate selects fifty students to receive the prestigious University Scholars Award.

This year, nine students from the College of Business Administration were recognized for their exceptional scholarship—maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher, completing at least 90 credit hours, and demonstrating a deep pursuit of knowledge in their fields.

👏 Join us in congratulating these outstanding business and technology students:
Katelyn Coldicott, Austin Geisert, Grant Harrell, Caleb Myers, Kathryn Johnson, Faith Miller, Reighna Vann, Will Vogelsang, and Patience Whitaker.

We’re incredibly proud of you and all you’ve accomplished!

While Austin Geisert and Grant Harrell couldn’t attend the University Scholars ceremony in person, they were proudly representing ACU at the international SIGCHI conference in Japan—highlighting their commitment to innovation, leadership, and academic excellence on a global stage.

Our Freshman Entrepreneurs are on the move! On Monday, April 21st, freshmen from the Griggs Center hit the road to Fort Worth for an inspiring day of entrepreneurial exploration!

They visited Timberview Farmstead, CreateFW, HerStory, and TimelyCare, where students heard firsthand what it takes to start, run, and grow a business. Each stop offered a unique perspective on what entrepreneurship looks like across different industries and roles.

To wrap up the day, they enjoyed dinner with some amazing entrepreneurial alumni—giving students the chance to hear even more stories, wisdom, and advice from those who’ve walked the path.

A huge THANK YOU to our generous hosts and alumni for sharing your time, insight, and passion. You made the day unforgettable!

Why give to the COBA Societal Impact Fund? Here’s a story about one of our entrepreneurs in Costa Rica.

Since joining Wearsos, Carolina’s journey has been nothing short of remarkable. As a single mother of three, she’s not only gained steady employment—she’s found a space where her creativity and leadership are encouraged to thrive. With the support of our team, Carolina returned to complete her high school education and now plays a key role in our workshop operations.

Her income from Wearsos has helped her build a more stable life for her family—including building her own home, purchasing furniture like a couch and a TV, and creating a safe, inspiring space for her children. Most recently, Carolina became the first person in her family to travel to another country. She flew to the U.S. for a special showcase of Wearsos’ work and was granted a 10-year visa—an incredible and rare opportunity that reflects how far she’s come.

Carolina’s story is a powerful reminder that when women are given the opportunity to lead and create, the ripple effect transforms lives, families, and communities.

Please consider supporting the COBA Societal Impact Fund, which empowers aspiring entrepreneurs in Costa Rica and Ghana to build sustainable businesses and meaningful careers - positively impacting their lives and communities.
