From suture to safaris 👩‍⚕️🦁 This group of Arcadia students took their skills international, working in the casualty unit in Mbombela, South Africa, and immersing themselves in a whole new healthcare experience. When they weren’t busy learning, they were out spotting lions at Kruger, chasing waterfalls on the panorama route, hiking Lion’s Head in Cape Town, and even taste-testing crocodile, zebra and ostrich (oh my!!) 🌍🍽️ Something tells us this won’t be their last trip back 🤔🇿🇦✈️

A few of our clinical year students on their elective rotation in Rome, Italy!

Dajé Roma!! (let’s go Rome!!) - Our students got to experience medicine in the land of pasta, pizza, and gelato. During the 4 week rotation, students were able to choose surgeons to shadow in various specialities of their choice at one of the best hospitals in the city, as well as time shadowing a doctor in an outpatient clinic just blocks away from the Spanish steps. The program takes fellow international medical students, facilitating conversation regarding the similarities and differences in medicine around the world. But when in Rome, students do as the Roman’s do - on Fridays the program takes students on excursions outside of the city to learn about the history of Italy, and takes students to dinner during the week to experience the delicious food. Look at some of the highlights of all this international rotation has to offer!

A glimpse of Class of 2026’s Winter Gala! Both Delaware and Glenside students came together to enjoy a royal evening in the Grey Towers Castle. A special thank you to the gala planning committee and our SAAAPA officers for making this night as blissful as it was! 🪩❄️💫

Meet Kelly Massa! She recently represented our program at the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC) International Conference. Kelly presented original research and spoke in the Leadership/Management Section on “Creating a Culture of Mentorship.” Kelly previously worked as a Respiratory Therapist for 16 years at Nemours Children’s Hospital before joining the Arcadia PA Class of 2026. She also serves as the SAAAPA President in our program. We are so proud of you Kelly!

Meet Dominique! Dominique shares a little bit about herself and why she chose Arcadia!

Goals for the future?🩺

“While I did end up loving dermatology, I definitely want to keep my mind open to other options so I can fully delve into each rotation next year. I would definitely like to work in an outpatient setting, and from my shadow experience at HUP, I did really enjoy outpatient oncology. I am rather indecisive but that is the beauty of the PA professional!”

What is your advice for future PA students?🩺

“Don’t take “didactic year is hard” lightly. It is extremely challenging but it is doable with the right mindset! Be sure to tend to your mental health. You will need breaks and a day off from studying here and there so do not feel guilty about that! However, it is extremely important to stay on top of your studies to avoid getting behind. “
