AAUP president Irene Mulvey crisis of repression currently plaguing US higher education:

“Peaceful campus protests should never be met with censorship and jail time. Our goal should be a robust exchange of ideas, open dialogue, and communication in service of knowledge and understanding for the public good.

We stand in solidarity with our AAUP chapters and members standing up for academic freedom and the free speech and associational rights of students and faculty.”

Women's History Month would like to honor Sandra Cisneros.

Most recognize her from her first novel, "The House on Mango Street," and rightfully so. She has also been credited as the "most the famous Chicana writer." Ms. Cisneros opened up a whole new connection for Latinas, as they could identify with her characters and settings not only in her books, but in her other works of art as well.

You can learn more about her and her successful career on her website: https://www.sandracisneros.com/
