This month the conversation leader is YOU!

We are gathering at Skinny Pancake to review the past season, talk about summer plans and make plans for the next season's meetings. We talked about food, highways and urban connections, geothermal wells and heat pumps, weatherization, the path of a sustainability advocate in ecologic, energy policy in government, and coming legislation. We have had conversation leaders from many walks of life and now it's time to hear from you!

What did we do right? What didn't we do right? What would you like to explore moving ahead?

We would love to hear your thoughts over a free beer and a fresh crepe!

Let's get together at Skinny Pancake on North Pearl Street in Downtown Albany from 5:30 until 7:30 on June 18th!

Let us know youre coming!

DID YOU KNOW that if we could cut US plug load by 10% it would be the equivalent to removing 550,000 cars from the road? That's huge! Plug load - everything you plug into the wall - can be reduced by utilizing outlet timers that automatically power off overnight, and replacing equipment with energy-efficient options.

Want to help make a difference in the community? Weatherization is the process of preparing a home or apartment for winter. It can involve putting plastic on windows, weatherstripping on doors and windows and insulation on pipes. Weatherization saves homeowners money and energy and reduces carbon in the atmosphere. You will help out community members, address climate change, gain valuable life skills to weatherize your own residence, and have a great addition to your resume. The City of Albany is looking for volunteers to help weatherize homes in the area on Saturday, November 11. See the attached flier for details. If you would like to help, please sign up by November 3. Training will be provided prior to the service day.: https://forms.gle/N7aZvLydY2D8Zs1E7
