CALL FOR ABSTRACTS: All written abstracts due by tomorrow! The annual medical student ethics conference (AMSEC) is a two-day national medical student conference to address ethical issues that arise in medical education. The conference will be held virtually on April 10- April 11, 2025.

The organizing committee invites abstracts for oral presentations on the ethical issues that arise in medical education because of one’s role as a medical student. The theme for AMSEC 2025 is "Drawing the Boundaries of Medicine". We invite submissions related to the conference theme and on any other topic tackling ethical issues in medical education.

Eligibility
To submit an abstract the author must be enrolled in an accredited medical college. Abstracts co-authored with faculty or residents will not be considered.

Submission Requirements
All submissions should include two MSWord documents: a 350-word abstract with title and no identifying information and a cover page with the following information:
1) abstract title;
2) author name;
3) author affiliation; and
4) email address.

The mission of the Alden March Bioethics Institute at Albany Medical College is to advance the multidisciplinary field of biomedical ethics as it applies to health care and biomedical research. AMBI is committed to the goals of promoting ethical awareness, professionalism, and competencies related to bioethics by: offering innovative, outcomes-oriented educational programs for medical students, graduate students, and health care professionals; contributing to bioethics knowledge through research and scholarship; and providing an ethics consultation service to staff, as well as patients, and their families at Albany Medical Center. To accomplish its mission and goals, AMBI is committed to collaboration with other institutions and disciplines, regionally and nationally.
