Grace Sorger is a first-generation college student pursuing an MS in Forensic Science Investigation and Management at the University at Albany, SUNY. After earning her BS in Biology from Allegheny College (Spring 2024), she chose UAlbany for its hands-on forensic lab internships and strong research opportunities.

When she’s not in the lab, you’ll find her reading, writing fiction, and exploring Albany’s food scene—always with a coffee in hand! She also shares her passion for science with her bearded dragon, Sprout.

Her impressive research experience includes multiple internships, a published literature review, and presentations at national conferences, such as the American College of Cardiology and SACNAS Advancing Hispanics/Chicanos & Native Americans in Science in STEM Conference.

💡 Her advice for future grad students: Find a program that aligns with your strengths and don’t be afraid to ask for help—strong connections with your cohort and advisors make all the difference!
