🌟💙 Maria College celebrated by spreading love and generosity in the Capital Region! 💙🌟

Our team, led by Dr. Lynn Ortale, kicked off the day by surprising the incredible staff at the Center for Disability Services with coffee and bagels to show our appreciation for their dedication to the community. 💙💪

Then, our “Kindness Crew” spent time at Market 32 on Madison Avenue, handing out $50 gift cards and free grocery bags to shoppers, hoping to make their day a little brighter. ✨

Maria College, SUNY Cobleskill, and Bassett Healthcare Network have partnered to revolutionize nursing education and strengthen the rural upstate New York workforce. Starting in January 2025, Maria College will expand its 16-month weekend Practical Nurse Certificate Program to the Cobleskill area. After passing the NCLEX exam, students will earn their Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential. Future plans include broadening Maria’s Andrea Lewis Siek School of Nursing program to offer existing associate and bachelor degrees in rural areas. Today, officials gathered to sign a Memorandum of Understanding.

Indigenous Peoples' Day is a holiday that celebrates and honors the history, culture, and contributions of Indigenous peoples. Many places across the United States and beyond observe Indigenous Peoples' Day, promoting awareness and understanding of Indigenous issues, history, and rights.
