Alumni update:

With a career spanning over 14 years as a High School Band Director and Administrator, Charlie DiPuma ’09 has left an indelible mark on the education and performance industry.

DiPuma's dedication to his craft was recently recognized when he was awarded "Teacher of the Year," an honor that elevated his name all the way to the halls of Congress. But his influence doesn't stop at the classroom door. The pinnacle of DiPuma's career thus far might be his performance at The White House alongside jazz legend Herbie Hancock.

DiPuma is currently on tour with blues/rock icon Kenny Wayne Shepherd, a gig he secured through networking and word of mouth. His journey to this point has been shaped by his education at the College of Saint Rose, where he not only received top-notch instruction from esteemed professors but also forged friendships that continue to support him along his path.

Reflecting on his time at St. Rose, DiPuma acknowledges the invaluable preparation it provided him to navigate the music performance and business worlds, stating, "Saint Rose provided me with top-notch professors and friendships that continue to help me along the way."
