2023 University at Albany Full-Time MBA Program grad Farzana Akhter is the new Human Resources Generalist at the Al-Hidaya Center. She joined the nonprofit Islamic center, which provides daily and jummah prayers, community activities, adult and youth educational programs, among many other services, in 2022 as a part-time Educator and was advanced into a part-time Administrator role a year later.

We are pleased to share that 2024 University at Albany Full-Time MBA Program grad Edmark Nyantakyi, Jr. has been hired by American Express as a Global and Risk Compliance Analyst. His responsibilities will include conducting audits, developing compliance strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive compliance training and ensure regulatory standards are met. He will also support regulatory exams from initiation to closure, manage regulatory response and remediation, and engage with internal stakeholders to keep compliance efforts transparent and aligned with American Express standards.

Glen, Founder and Group CEO of GP Fund Solutions, was accompanied by Alex Melas '21, Intermediate Product Manager at GP Enterprise Solutions. 2011 University at Albany Full-Time MBA Program alum Nicholas Querques has taken his career to the next level with his recent promotion to Vice President of Industry and External Affairs at The Research Foundation for SUNY (RF), the largest comprehensive university-connected research foundation in the country, administering over $1.1 billion in research expenditures annually across the SUNY campus system.

In his role, Nick leads initiatives and services aimed at promoting technology translation, commercialization, and entrepreneurship throughout SUNY’s extensive research enterprise, supporting SUNY-affiliated companies in their growth, telling and selling the story of SUNY, and fostering partnerships and joint ventures with industry and government to bring SUNY technology to market. He is responsible for overseeing RF’s business units that handle intellectual property and licensing, new ventures, marketing, communications, and external relations and partnerships.

Nick joined the RF in 2019 as Director of New Ventures. Prior, he held managerial positions at NYSERDA for five and a half years and SUNY Polytechnic Institute for several more. When Lucienne Hymes moves, she moves quickly! Four months after joining the Office of the New York State Comptroller as a Business Systems Analyst, the 2024 University at Albany Full-Time MBA Program alum has been hired as a Budget Analyst at Consolidated Asset Management Services (CAMS), which provides comprehensive financial and administrative support, encompassing accounting, finance, budgeting, reporting, tax compliance, and regulatory oversight, to infrastructure assets.

Lucienne will oversee the financial health at a power plant, which includes analyzing financial data, developing detailed budgets, monitoring spending, and forecasting future costs for plant leadership. She will also collaborate with other analysts to ensure consistency and provide financial support.

Previously, she interned at Ballston Spa National Bank and served briefly as the Program Assistant for the University at Albany MBA for Executives Program.
