NURSING
CERTIFIED NURSE AIDES: Full-time and part-time all shifts, regular and float*. All positions require every other weekend. Experience preferred for the part-time and float openings. All candidates must be NYS certified. For class info, contact EOC or Albany BOCES, ACAP or SCAP. *not unit specific – assigned where needed

RN NURSE MANAGER: Full-time day shift position. Shares responsibilities for a 40 bed unit with another Nurse Manager. Long term care experience required. Must be able to communicate well with staff, residents, and resident families. Management/supervisory skills necessary. Must be independent and self-starter.

Staff RN/LPN: Full-time and part-time evening shifts, part-time day and night shift available. All positions require every other weekend. All candidates must be NYS licensed. Six months experience preferred for all part-time and float positions. Experienced nurses have opportunity for advancement to shift supervision, etc.

LPN-Primary Care LPN: Full-time and part-time all shifts available. All positions require every other weekend. All candidates must be NYS licensed. Six months experience preferred for all part-time positions. Do you love licensed nursing, but miss the hands on attention and relationships you can offer to our elderly? This position is the best of both worlds – smaller case load to assist with all needs for the resident. You will provide hands on care and medical treatment for about 10 residents. You will be responsible for all of the primary care for your residents, and be able to nurture those bonds in our long term care setting.

RN (sub-acute rehab): Full-time and part-time positions available. Currently seeking full and part-time RN’s to provide primary nursing for our subacute rehab unit. All candidates must have a current NYS license and must have either med surg experience or experience working on a subacute rehab unit in a nursing home.

RN SHIFT SUPERVISOR: Full-time evening shift, Part-time day shift position (every Saturday) and per diem all shifts. Oversees nursing home resident care. Must have at least one year supervisory experience. Must be able to communicate well with staff, residents, and resident families.

STAFF DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR/RN: Full-time day shift position- exempt level. Must be RN with at least 3 years experience in long term care or sub-acute care setting. A nursing education background along with familiarity of Federal and State Regulations for long term care is preferred. Organizes, develops, and directs the educational programs of all our licensed and non-licensed nursing staff. Some education of non-nursing departments required occasionally. Flexible schedule if offered in this position as training will be required at times on off-shifts.

FOOD SERVICES
NEIGHBORHOOD ASSISTANTS: Part-time evening shifts (4p-7:30/4pm-8pm). All positions require every other weekend. Duties include primary responsibility for unit kitchen areas including sanitation and HACCP documentation, meal service & plate accuracy, and assisting with making beds, transporting residents within facility, putting resident laundry away, folding linens, and any other duties assigned that facilitate the unit.

DIETARY AIDES/DISHWASHER: Part-time evening shifts (4p-7:30/4pm-8pm). All positions require every other weekend, full shift 11am-7:30pm. Duties include primary responsibility for kitchen areas including sanitation and HACCP documentation.

ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
LIGHT DUTY TECHNICIAN: DAY shifts: Full-time regular, full-time temporary, and Part-time opportunity for every other weekend. Duties include vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, and other various housekeeping duties, and assisting with neighborhood duties as assigned. All positions require every other weekend.

Students taking the two day course on the Albany campus must attend both classes to receive their certificate.
Each student will receive an updated NYS DMV Driver’s Manual and a temporary course completion certificate in this classroom course about crash avoidance techniques. Students qualify for a reduction of up to 4 points from their driving records for violations received during the 18 months prior to completion of this course. Students passing this course also become eligible for a minimum insurance
reduction of 10% for 3 years in the base rate of liability, personal injury, Protection (No-Fault) and collision premiums. All principal vehicle operators are eligible including: all drivers, regardless of violation accident records, senior citizens and motorcycle drivers. There is no formal testing. This program is recognized by all NYS Insurance companies. This course is taught by Victor Bujanow, a Certified Insurance Counselor, a NYS Licensed Insurance Broker and a Chief Instructor for the Empire Safety Council.

Topics include avoiding conflicts of interest, maintaining professional ethics, charging proper fees, handling special situations, deferring to an attorney and minimizing legal liability. This course provides a practical introduction for implementing structured project management programs. Participants learn the essential skills and knowledge necessary to manage a one-time effort to accomplish an explicit objective by a specific time. Examples of projects include moving a business location, introducing a new product line, implementing a new program in the community and installing a new major piece of machinery or redesigning a retain show room. Instruction focuses on seven of the key project management knowledge areas of scope, time, cost, stakeholders and communication, risk and quality and how to make them work together to get your project completed on time and within budget. Structured project management works for all types of organizations.
This course is taught by Mary Beth Imbarrato, the owner of MBI Consulting, LLC. Ms. Imbarrato specializes in project management, change management, performance improvement and risk.
