If you've been following our page- or following the news- you may have seen that Florida officials recently voted to remove Introduction to Sociology from General Education Core Course Options. Below is an opinion piece written by the current president of the American Sociological Association discussing this recent move as both a disturbing incident and as an opportunity for broader engagement. It is a good example of public sociology in action- so check it out if you're interested!
