We aim to provide distinctive opportunities for students who show promise of outstanding academic achievement and to do this so well that our graduates are competitive with the best students of any college or

university. The excellent instruction and individual attention of our Honors College create the benefits of a first-rate, small liberal arts college atmosphere within a progressive research university setting. We strive to produce a body of graduates who are well-educated, socially conscious, and capable of assuming leadership roles in our society.
