Northwest State Student Activities hosted the 29th Annual Chili Cook-Off on October 9. Eight teams competed and this event raised $1,120 for the Path Center in Defiance. The Chili Cook-Off has raised nearly $15,000 for the agency over the years. More information on the PATH Center is available at https://nocac.org/path-center-services/.

Applications are being accepted for a Workforce Sales Coordinator for the Community & Workforce
Development Division at Northwest State Community College (Van Wert Campus). The Workforce
Sales Coordinator works in the area of business development and is responsible for growing business
partnerships, and assisting with the sales of workforce development solutions to establish, grow, and
retain new accounts. This position will help implement strategies to increase sales and generate
revenue that represents the full range of Northwest State Community College classes and Custom
Training Solutions. The Workforce Sales Coordinator will promote brand in the community to
generate interest and services, while serving as a community resource and liaison for Northwest State
Community College. This position will also have an emphasis with business and industry in Allen,
Auglaize, Mercer, Paulding, Putnam, and Van Wert counties

Applications are being accepted for a Clinical Teaching Assistant at Northwest State Community
College. The full-time clinical teaching assistant will be responsible for clinical and/or nursing
laboratory instruction. They will work closely with lead nursing faculty to participate in the
development, assessment, and evaluation of curriculum in existing courses, new courses, and
related programs.

Applications are being accepted for a Mechanical and Fluid Power Training Coordinator at Northwest State
Community College. This position is responsible for sharing knowledge and industry expertise on a variety
of Mechanical & Fluid Power topics thru delivery of technical instruction to local industry and business
clients. Course delivery may vary by shift or location based on client needs. The coordinator is also
responsible for building, developing and updating technical curriculum as needed. The coordinator
collaborates with the CTS Sales Personnel in planning, organizing, and leading technical training offerings.
Current focus is on the following technical topic areas: Basic mechanical, machine repair, pneumatics and
hydraulics. Technology topic areas must evolve as technology and employer demand changes. The Training
Coordinator will be expected to travel around northwest Ohio and deliver training during hours as
determined by our clients’ needs.

Community College. This position is responsible for sharing knowledge and industry expertise on a variety
of Advanced Manufacturing topics thru delivery of technical instruction to local industry and business
Clients. Course delivery may vary by shift or location based on client needs. The coordinator is also
responsible for building, developing and updating technical curriculum as needed. The coordinator
collaborates with the CTS Sales Personnel in planning organizing and leading technical training offerings.
Current focus is on the following technical topic areas: Electrical Basics, Electrical Advanced, Motors,
Drives, Print Reading, Electrical Troubleshooting, PLC (Allen Bradley & Siemens), HMIs, Instrumentation,
Process Control, Factory Floor Networking, etc. Technology topic areas must evolve as technology and
employer demand changes. The Training Coordinator will be expected to travel around northwest Ohio as
determined by our clients’ needs.

Applications are being accepted for an Administrative Assistant for Nursing & Allied Health Division.
This position serves as the first point of contact for the division/department and provides exceptional
customer service to learners, staff, and community members. The Administrative Assistant is responsible
for routine and non-routine administrative tasks while also facilitating the daily operations of the
department. In addition, this position is responsible for developing and maintaining administrative
procedures related to division/department operations.

Part-time Instructors Needed
NSCC is seeking qualified part-time instructors to teach in person, college level courses in the following areas:

Mathematics (Courses: College Algebra)- The qualified applicant must hold a Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics.

Biology (Courses: Principles of Biology, Human Anatomy & Physiology)- The qualified applicant must hold a Master’s degree in Biology or a related master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Biology.

HVAC-R (Courses: Introductory and Advanced HVAC) - The qualified applicant must have an Associate’s degree in Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, or related discipline or a combination of relevant education, experience and training totaling a minimum of 5 years. The EPA 608 certification is preferred at time of hire or must have the ability to obtain once hired.

Engineering Technology- Computer Science/Electrical (Courses: AC Circuits) : The qualified applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or similar field of study.

This Christmas season please take time to give back to your community and donate to Christmas for Kids. We have donation jars located in the bookstore, welcome desk, cafe and success center through Thursday, December 5. All money stays in Fulton and Defiance counties. In the past, we have taken toy donations however again this year they are only accepting monetary donations and taking kids shopping to buy toys they want. We appreciate your generosity. You may also donate through PayPal, Christmas for Kids.
