“It’s easy to assume the job is closely related to that of a medical assistant or certified nurse assistant. It’s so much more than that, and I knew there was a community waiting for me at GW who understood.” - Briana Sachner, VBSN student.

Hi there! I am a Senior Nurse Recruiter with Inova Health System and we are seeking recent nursing graduates with an active RN license to work in our System Float Pool starting January 4, 2021.

This position is an opportunity to launch your nursing career working at Northern Virginia’s leading nonprofit healthcare provider, and gain exposure to all five of Inova’s hospitals, all of which hold five-star rankings from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

If you are interested, please reach out to me directly at [email protected]. Talk soon!
Many thanks to Bill Digges and our neighbor Chick-fil-A George Washington for their support of our GW Nursing students! We are grateful for all the cookies, food discounts, and smiles these past semesters, and look forward to their continued support as we start the New Year! Raise High!
My dear wife Jackie Wavelet is leaving the George Washington School of Nursing after nearly a decade to take a teaching position at Inova Fairfax. It's a bittersweet moment for her because she loved her job at GWU and it's hard to properly say goodbye to everyone in the time of Covid. If you're a former student and have a moment to wish her luck, I know it would mean a lot to her. As you probably know, she's not on Facebook, but you can still reach her for now at her gwu.edu email address. (Oh, and let's keep this note between you and me.) Thanks!
This Thursday at 12 Noon GW Nursing hosts a Student Forum & Wellness Session. THIS WEEK -- BRING YOUR PETS TO THE SESSION!!! GW Nursing Faculty & Staff are grateful to all the guest speakers who joined us and taught us at our annual retreat today! Thank you to Wendy Ellis, Toyese Oyeyemi, Sara Horton-Deutsch, and finally Ric Ricciardi who closed our day by challenging us "Infuse Joy" into our community, work & lives!
Life time investment.
I ordered extra sizes and styles to find my fit. So I thought before returning them I will see if ppl around wants a quick pick up.
Pm me for details and price.

(less than 10 mins) *Don’t worry! There are instructional videos to help you do this.

Things to keep in mind: You do not have to be based in the D.C. area or come to GWU to participate.

Thank you GW for the past 2.5 years. Excited to see the "what's next" brings me. Stay safe and healthy during these difficulty times. To all the new Bachelor's Degree RNs.. it may look scary, but from one nurse to another, I love my career and I am so fortunate to help those in need. The 'Thank you' 'you are the best' and 'so lucky to have you as my nurse' will make up for all the hard work and scares that may come until then!!
Congratulations cohort 19!
