Auburn University International Students and Scholars ISSS is the immigration and visa support division of Auburn's Office of International Programs.

Each year over 900 students and 300 scholars from over 80 nations participate in the Auburn experience. Through the support of ISSS, inter

national students and scholars and their academic units of choice on the Auburn campus receive the needed immigration support documentation required for entry into the US and the assistance needed to maintain the appropriate status under the US Department of Homeland Security and Department of State rules and regulations.

If you're going outside of the USA any time soon, come to our travel signature event next Tuesday, Feb 28, starting at 1pm in Foy Hall. You must have a travel signature on the second page of your I-20 to re-enter the US.

Lunar New Year is celebrated throughout Asia, and it goes by many names: Chunjie, Losar, Spring Festival, Tet, and Solnal (among others) depending on the country or region.

Each year is assigned an element and an animal on a rotation. This year, it is the Year of the Water Rabbit! 🌊🐰

Next Monday, January 23rd, our friends at and will be hosting a Lunar New Year 🎉 celebration 🎉 in the Student Center, with food and more. All are welcome! Location and time details in the image above. See you there!

‼️Attention Students and Scholars‼️

It has come to our attention in recent weeks that many students and scholars have received phone calls from persons unknown claiming to be Customs and Border Patrol (CBP), Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE), or other governmental agents.

They have asked students to download programs onto their computer for "verification purposes", and pressured students to provide personal information such as birth dates, social security numbers, bank details, or other private information to them. They have also demanded students neither tell police nor our office anything regarding this or you "will be in serious trouble".

⛔️NEVER⛔️ provide ANY personal information to someone over the phone. It is more than likely a scam, meant to steal your identity and money. You should instead ask the person for their contact information (including their name and badge number or supervisor) and tell them you will be in touch soon, after you contact a DSO/ARO in our office for confirmation.

In addition, CBP and ICE typically send regular mail through USPS for official responses. If you have any questions regarding this, or if anyone has contacted you recently with similar demands, please let our office know as soon as possible, by emailing [email protected].
