Last week, UC Berkeley returned the remains of around 20 Wiyot people killed in a 19th-century massacre to tribal authorities for burial. The move comes under a revised university repatriation policy, developed in cooperation with Native tribes.

Join us next Tuesday as we discuss how museums and institutions across the US and Canada are responding to cases like this, and how we can develop new repatriation guidelines based on mutual respect, cooperation, and trust. RSVP here: bit.ly/3AendFf

After nearly 70 years of separation from their tribe, the remains of at least 20 of those believed to have been killed have been returned home.
