Study Abroad Week is HERE!! 🎈

We have some pretty awesome giveaways at the Study Abroad Fair this Wednesday, November 13th in West Pauley Ballroom from 12 - 4 pm.

Come by to learn all about our study abroad programs, internships abroad, find the perfect place for you and walk away with some things you can only get at the fair!

If you are one of the first 1,000 students to attend, you will get a free tote!
If you stop by our social media table and answer a couple of questions, you can enter the raffle to win one of our BSA sweatshirts!
AND if you click the link in our bio to RSVP that you'll be there, you have a chance to win a $100 gift card!

We will have events all week long to help students get started on their study abroad journey, from applying to financing, we cover it all!

Wednesday, November 13th we have our Study Abroad Fair from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm in West Pauley Ballroom!

Whether you are curious about studying abroad or plan on doing it before you graduate, join us for some fun activities, giveaways, and opportunities to interact with our Berkeley Study Abroad advisers, campus resources, and former study abroad participants!

To get warmed up, this week we will have a few takeovers from around the world.

Tuesday - join us from Scotland with Melanie
Wednesday - we will be in Chile with Tristan
Thursday - you can find us with Palita in Denmark!

Join us this week for one of our events!

October 22nd we have an information session for our Global Internships Program that allows you to travel, earn credit and gain work experience over the summer.

October 23rd is the UCEAP virtual Study abroad fair and and an info session with Bears Going Global discussing applying to study abroad.

October 24th is a session on Navigating Gender Expression Abroad with UCEAP.

CONGRATULATIONS to Krishna!!

Krishna designed the 2024 Berkeley Study Abroad Sticker Contest's winning sticker!

"I wanted to highlight the exciting different aspects of study abroad - education (book), travel (suitcase), and exploration. (Backpack/adventure hat). And of course it’s Berkeley, so it had to be a bear!?”

Although currently not abroad, Krishna expressed “I would love to go to India and learn more about the other half of my cultural heritage.”

If you would like to pick up a sticker of your own, stop by the Study Abroad Fair taking place November 13th in West Pauley Ballroom from 12:00 - 4:00 pm.

We have narrowed down our 2024 BSA Sticker Design Contest submissions to THREE finalists! Now we need your help to decide who the winner should be! Our winning sticker will get printed up and distributed wherever we go.

You may only vote once, and must be affiliated with UC Berkeley (have an .edu email).

Use the link in our bio to vote.

Voting ends at 11:59pm PST on Sunday, October 6th.

Welcome to the 2024 UC Berkeley Study Abroad Sticker Design Contest!!!

Help us promote study abroad across campus and around the world! Show off your design skills and compete for a chance to have your work printed and distributed as a sticker to thousands of students. The competition is open to all UC Berkeley students, regardless if you have studied abroad or not.

Design details:
The ideal sticker design should capture the spirit of study abroad. The sticker will be a 3”x3” live area shape of your choice and will be in full color. The only requirements are that your design includes “Berkeley Study Abroad” and “studyabroad.berkeley.edu”.

Submission details:
Submit your sticker design(s) using the Google form in our bio by 11:59pm PDT on September 25. Submitted artwork should be a CMYK, high resolution jpeg (100% size at least 300 dpi), vector file format or pdf. You may submit up to 3 designs.

Judging details:
Berkeley Study Abroad staff will narrow down the submissions to the finalists. Once the finalists are chosen, the public will then determine who the competition winner is via voting through a Google form. The winning designer will be informed around October 7. In addition to having their work made into stickers, the winning designer will also receive a $100 gift card.

You could be in French Polynesia as soon as Spring Semester!!

Join Program Advisors and Faculty during our information session to learn more about the Moorea Spring 2025 study abroad program, a 14-Week Intensive Field Semester at UC Gump South Pacific Research Station on the island of Mo’orea.

We will provide a program overview, discuss coursework, eligibility requirements, the application process, and more! We will also have open Q&A time when you will be able to pose any questions about the program you may have.

The final application deadline is Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 11:59 pm Pacific time.
