Paths to Healing: Sexual Assault Care Work in BIPOC communities
CONTENT NOTIFICATION: sexual assault, child sexual abuse, rape, systemic violence, rape culture, combatting shame and victim-blaming, and healing practices.
The Native American Longhouse Eena Haws and El Centro invite you to join us for a conversation with Kim Guerra, poet and owner of Brown Badass Bonita, Sage Trudell, Lakota activist and Missing & Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP) advocate, and Sahana Prasad, Interpersonal Violence Services Coordinator at OSU CAPS, as they discuss providing care to BIPOC survivors of interpersonal violence with a focus on paths to healing, as well as connections to the MMIW crisis. A confidential advocate from Survivor Advocacy Resource Center (SARC) or Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) will be available to speak or chat with anyone privately who may need support.
