Centro Cultural César Chávez and the Pride Center will be in collaboration in the event Yerba Maté Latine Graduate Student Social. This Wednesday, April 24 is Dam Proud Day, and the Pride Center is celebrating!

By joining us on Dam Proud Day, you're helping forge a future where every OSU community member can thrive. We can rally together to ensure that every student is empowered to succeed and is celebrated for who they are. Your support enables us to expand our work.

And this year, your gift goes even farther. Thanks to the generosity of Lisa Miles, an OSU parent, once the Pride Center receives 10 gifts on April 24, a $10,000 gift will be unlocked to support students who access the Pride Center!

Contributions support two initiatives: Our Gender Euphoria Project and our QTBIPOC Programming Fund.

Our Gender Euphoria Project is an initiative created by students to help provide gender-affirming supplies for their peers who cannot afford or safely obtain them.

Our QTBIPOC Programming Fund emphasizes the intersectionality of q***r, transgender, and inters*x Black, Indigenous and people of color (QTBIPOC), furthering our mission to advocate for people of all identities.

Y'all, we're hosting Jaiyah Saelua on Monday, 11/27! She's not only the first trans person to play in a FIFA tournament with the Samoan national soccer team--she's also portrayed in Taika Watiti's new film Next Goal Wins!

Join us at 10am Monday morning for coffee and baked goods with Jaiyah at the Pride Center for a special meet and greet.

Then come hear Jaiyah speak at 3pm at the alumni center, with a reception to follow.

We are so excited to spend the day with Jaiyah, and we hope you'll join us!

Our first event will be Ace Story Circles which will Tuesday, October 24 from 2-4 P.M. Our second event will be the Ace Social on Thursday October 26 from 2-4 P.M. at the Pride Center (SEC 112). No RSVP required. The event will be a social time for people on the as*xual spectrum to connect. Come make origami rings, eat delicious snacks, and play games.

Governor Kotek has signed the Reproductive Health and Access to Care law for expanded access to gender-affirming care, abortion, and contraception.

Basic Rights Oregon is celebrating a huge win for transgender and reproductive healthcare access in our state. After a tumultuous legislative session, last week Governor Tina Kotek signed into law House Bill 2002 , now known as the Reproductive Health & Access to Care Act.

Our hearts go out to the family, friends, and community of Lauri Ann Carleton of Cedar Glen, CA, who was shot on Friday by a man who made disparaging remarks about the pride flag she flew in her shop, mag.pi.

Lauri was known to be a strong ally to the LGBTQ+ community and dedicated to caring for others in her area.

Any time something like this affects a member of our LGBTQ+ an allied community, it's hard to process. If you would like to be in community, we are open Monday-Thursday from 11am-3pm this summer. If you are struggling, please reach out to OSU Counseling & Psychological Services for extra support.
