Oregon State University College of Pharmacy

Oregon State University College of Pharmacy For more than 100 years, the College of Pharmacy has trained tomorrow’s practitioners and research At the core of all this is our student body.

The College of Pharmacy has been an integral part of Oregon State University for more than 100 years, and we continue to play an important role in helping the university achieve its strategic goals and vision. The college is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. Through the research and teaching of our world-renowned faculty, we seek to promote healthier, better liv

es for the people of Oregon. We recognize that the field of pharmacy is expanding and evolving, and we strive to offer the tools and knowledge that our students will need to adapt and thrive in tomorrow’s pharmacy profession. The three foundational goals of the College of Pharmacy are to provide excellent professional education for our students and continuing education for practicing pharmacists; to foster outstanding and innovative research; and to contribute to public health by developing and promoting ways to provide medications safely and affordably. Our Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) students study two years at OSU and then spend their third year at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, helping foster collaboration among the health sciences and a multidisciplinary approach to studying pharmacy theory and practice. The students in our graduate studies program are involved in innovative biomedical research and other areas of inquiry that could have broad impacts on the health care and well-being of Oregonians and others around the world. Our goal is to produce pharmacists who are independent scientists dedicated to providing a better quality of life.

Our own Shayla Berrey was featured today in OSU Today as one of our upcoming graduates! Hear about her experience in Pharmacy School.

“Pharmacists are some of the most accessible health care professionals,” Berrey said. “We often work with doctors to find treatments that are both effective and within a patient’s budget, and we also check that medications are safe to take together and are the best choice for each person’s health needs.”

Today is OHSU's commencement ceremony. Our 2025 graduate, Bryan Le, was featured in OHSU's commencement feature article:

“I've always had a really big interest in chemistry, so when I found that health care was attached with chemistry to pharmacy, I thought it was a no-brainer because it's using these small pills, these small drugs to help make big changes in people’s lives,” Le said. “We do so many cool things in society — sports, art, music — and this is my way of trying to help push the world forward so society can continue on and keep innovating.”
