🌟 From Natural Resources student Lyndsay: Waterfall views in El Bosque de Las Brujas of a glacier-fed waterfall from the Exploradores Glacier. The waters from this small tributary eventually make their way to the large lake, General Carrera, in the Aysén Region of Chile.
Lyndsay participated in our faculty-led program Mountains to the Sea: Ecosystems of Chile over spring break! Stay tuned for more student story and photo features in coming weeks.

🌟 Story Spotlight: Need some Monday travel inspiration to start off your spring term? OSU student S.R.S. is double-majoring in Sustainability and Natural Resources with an ISO in Marine Conservation, Ecosystems and Human Dimensions. She just finished up a 3-month internship in Costa Rica working for a sea turtle conservation program!
🌊 We asked about her all-time favorite experience during this internship, and she noted that what she enjoyed most was that every day was different and brought the unexpected. She explains, "I enjoyed having so much variety, getting to work outside everyday, connecting with local people and the community, and being part of an amazing group of international people and helping out the sea turtles."
🏝 If she had to pick just one experience, though, she says "it would be the releasing of the baby turtles into the ocean at sunset, watching them work their way down the sand and bravely into the surf and heading out to life at sea. It made me feel happy to know that I was one of the people that helped to give them a chance at life and that our efforts might help to save some of the sea turtles from extinction."
