As an HVAC Service Technician, you will perform service and maintenance tasks on commercial HVAC equipment.

Job Duties
• Perform assigned HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting task safely in commercial and industrial settings
• Service, diagnose and troubleshoot various types of split systems, packaged rooftop, and chillers
• Utilize electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC equipment as needed
• Complete required electronic documentation daily on a handheld device
• Work independently to complete assigned tasks within an allotted time frame
• Operate company vehicle to complete service calls in a specified territory
Requirements
• 5 or more years of experience repairing and troubleshooting commercial HVAC equipment
• EPA universal certification
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Communication and customer service skills
• Experience with chilled water or boiler systems preferred
• OSHA 10 certification (the company will provide if needed)
• Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.

• Requires basic mechanical aptitude and English language skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Regular and punctual attendance. Ability to work overtime if needed
• Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop, and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening
• Ability to pass MVR check and physical ability assessment
• Ability to travel, as needed, for projects

Compensation
• Wage Range Starting at: $20.00+/hr. based on qualifications & experience

The deadline for the Clifford H. "Ted" Rees, Jr. Scholarship has been extended to August 15, 2021. At this writing, we have an extremely limited number of applications, so we very much hope you will encourage your eligible students to submit their online application. This is an excellent opportunity for HVAC students to reduce the costs of post-secondary education and training!

Applying for the Clifford H. “Ted” Rees Jr. Scholarship:
The Clifford H. "Ted" Rees, Jr. Scholarship Foundation, an AHRI Charitable Foundation, in partnership with SkillsUSA, is offering eight one-time, merit based $2,500 scholarships to SkillsUSA members who are currently enrolled as a high school junior, senior or college/postsecondary student in a HVACR or a general construction program and who will be pursuing college/postsecondary career training in the HVACR industry. The scholarship is intended to provide tuition support in the 2021/2022 or 2022/2023 school year. Applications must be submitted via the online form to the national office of SkillsUSA for review and determination by 11:59 p.m. ET Aug. 15. Scholarship recipients will be notified on September 1.

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be a SkillsUSA member
• Must be must be currently enrolled in an HVACR or General Construction program
• Must be planning to study HVACR at the college/postsecondary level in the 2021-2022 or 2022-2023 school year
• Must submit a letter of recommendation from their HVACR instructor
• Must submit a current resume with their application
