Attain Partners founder and CEO Greg Baroni and his wife, Camille, made a significant financial investment in the Center for Government Contracting within the George Mason University School of Business. The Baroni gift will allow the expansion of center research activities and student fellowships and contribute to a new space for convening.
The center will be renamed as the Greg and Camille Baroni Center for Government Contracting in honor of the new donors.
Yesterday, George Mason University announced the largest gift to a center within its School of Business from Attain Partners Founder and CEO Greg Baroni and his wife, Camille!
In honor of the new donors, the Center for Government Contracting will change its name to the Greg and Camille Baroni Center for Government Contracting. This will be the first donor-named center within the George Mason University School of Business.
âWe are excited to partner with Mason to support and advance the government contracting industry,â said Greg Baroni. âHigher education is key to growing the industry and building diverse talent for tomorrowâs workforce. The 9th Annual Student Managed Investment Fund Consortium (SMIFC) Conference in Chicago at the Palmer House Hotel was another great success. This year, 50 colleges and universities were represented by 280 students and faculty who were treated to some fascinating insights by our speakers.
The competitions were close-run and congratulations to Lipscomb University, Kennesaw State University and George Mason University who won the poster competition. Congratulations as well to Hofstra University, Kennesaw State University (again), and Eastern Michigan University who won the Firm Performance Analysis competition.

Last week President/CEO Shelley Murphy had the opportunity to be a class instructor at George Mason University School of Business Fundamentals of Affordable Housing Development program. Shelleyâs lecture focused on the importance of affordable housing to economic development, educational opportunity, racial equity, preventing homelessness, and more. Thank you GMU and Virginia Housing for partnering together on a program that will help develop support and talent for the affordable housing industry.
Emily Murphy, senior fellow at the George Mason University School of Business' Center for Government Contracting and former head of the General Services Administration, said Congress should reauthorize the SBIR program to ensure that the DOD and other federal agencies have continued access to critical technologies.
