U.K. - Hooligans & Homicide: Law Enforcement 🇬🇧

"I would recommend this program to a friend or classmate because we got to see first hand how the criminal justice system is in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. This program allows anyone interested in working in the criminal justice system in the United States broaden their knowledge on governments abroad they may work with in the future. Even if someone does not want to work in the United States it exposes those in the program to network and expand their possibilities to working abroad.”

"I really enjoyed learning about the differences in culture just between England, Scotland, and Ireland. It gave me a new perspective on how important history is to countries. With that being said, my biggest takeaway would be how important it is to know about the history of wherever you are, and how to properly appreciate it."

Estonia - MBA Residency🇪🇪

“I would recommend this program because I think it’s critically important to travel outside of the United States at some point in every American’s life, and this presents a perfect opportunity. Specifically, it’s very valuable to travel within the context of our academic journey; taking what we’ve learned to date in our program and being able to apply the knowledge gained in an international environment.”

“Studying abroad is not just an adventure, it’s a journey that expands your mind, challenges your perspectives, and opens your heart to the world outside of the U.S. The memories you make and the lessons you learn will stay with you for a lifetime.”

“Learning how little I know about what another culture is experiencing when it comes to global issues. The media doesn’t do a good job portraying every day life and while I knew this, it really sinks in more when you experience it first hand.”

Ireland - Internships in Dublin🇮🇪

“Although the internship was not exactly my ideal major, it prepared me for a professional field. Communicating with others on a day-to-day basis, listening to one another, and working together as a team overall, were demonstrated heavily throughout my time there. This impacted me and showed me what a professional place can look like and work.”

“It gave me further insight into how it was working in a corporate/office environment, which is what I wanted. It also pushed me out of my comfort zone by doing cold calls, interacting with clients, and sitting in during interviews. I got to see whether or not I might want to work in a place like that, which was one of the biggest reason I wanted to try this internship...”

“No matter how your work life ends up, it’s always reassuring to have the friends you’ve made during the internship and the once in a lifetime experience abroad.“

Italy - Geology Field Camp in the Dolomites🇮🇹
“Study abroad experiences are unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, so make the most of your experience(s) while you can! Learning field geology in the Dolomites was an eye-opening experience, I made tons of lifelong friends, experienced a whole different place and culture, and I really wish it lasted a little longer.”

“I know more than I thought. All I need to do is have confidence in my own ideas and stand up for what I believe even when working with very strong minded people. Although I may be young in my field, my thoughts and ideas are still valuable.”

Bosnia and Herzegovina - Post-Conflict Peacebuilding

“The study on the field is way different and more insightful compared to the class and textbooks, meeting new people and listening to practitioners are essential experiences to build a better understanding of conflicts.”

“I think everyone should take the opportunity to travel when presented to them if they have the means to do so. This class is no different; capitalizing on the opportunity to learn from other people outside a traditional is an amazing opportunity.”

Cyprus - Geopolitics and Global Security Challenges

“Learning from within the issues will never compare to learning it from a textbook.”

“I love studying abroad because I get to engage with a culture completely different than mine, which always reveals similarities that I never would have thought existed.”

“This was an amazing experience to not only visit another country and learn about it in depth, but to experience that learning with other students who are equally as engaged and passionate about the issues.”
