On Friday, December 6th the Johnson Center hosted its first ever wresting showdown!

"In the inaugural showdown match held at the Johnson Center, the George Mason (7-0, 5-0) wrestling team earned a 29-9 win against the MAC's Buffalo Bulls to remain unbeaten this season."

The Office Assistant team serves as the Student Centers’ primary customer service representative, responsible for assisting with the operations of the department’s administrative office by answering phone calls, assisting with processing kiosk table reservations, locker rentals, and advertising reservations. Running errands and providing administrative support to all Student Centers staff is a daily function of this position.

Event Services offers a wide range of production services, including audio, video, lighting, and rental furnishings to support your event needs. These services are not limited to Student Centers venues as they can support events campus wide!

Our production services can be requested three or more weeks before your event through our Event Services Request Form, and those services can be adjusted as necessary throughout the planning process to meet event and budget needs.

Introducing... Halloweek with Student Centers! 🎃

Check out our exciting lineup of activities from Thursday, October 24th to Thursday, October 31st.

👻 Halloween Spooktacular -- Join us at the Corner Pocket () located in The Hub from 6pm-11pm on Thursday, October 24th for a night of spooky fun! Activities include free play, tarot card reading, karaoke, and free ice cream (while supplies last).

👻 Graveyard Smash Concert -- Join Capitol Dystrikt Music and Music Productions Club for a collaborative Graveyard Smash Music Festival! A variety of musical acts will be taking the stage in the Johnson Center Atrium from 6:30pm to 10pm on Wednesday, October 30th.

👻 Kiosk Day & Trick or Treating -- Join us as shopMason hosts their annual Halloween Kiosk Day in the Johnson Center Atrium on Thursday, October 31st from 11am-2pm! shopMason units will be tabling and hosting trick or treating activities! The costume contest will be taking place during the kiosk day.

👻 Costume Contest -- Participate in Student Centers first Halloween Costume Contest on Thursday, October 31st from 12:30pm-1:30pm. Students, staff, and faculty may sign up through the interest form until October 27th. By filling out the provided form, you are secured a spot for the costume contest. 👻 Halloween Trivia -- Join us at the Corner Pocket located in The Hub on Thursday, October 31st for Thursday Night Out: Trivia! Trivia will be themed for Halloween and will begin promptly at 7pm. Come with a group or join a group! Prizes are sponsored by Mason Dining for the winning team.

Highlights from our Creating Community event last month! 🫶 ✨

We loved working with various Registered Student Organizations to give them the platform to showcase who they are and what being a member of their organization looks like! Our Event Services team provided students with the necessities such as a stage, mic, lights, and sound to be help them spread the word to students on campus about their organization.

RSO's and George Mason Departments may reserve snap frames located in the Johnson Center, SUB I, and The Hub! Requests must be submitted on 25live at least three business days before the desired reservation date. Availability of space is not guaranteed and reservations are based on availability of unreserved space.

Up to three snap frame locations can be reserved for no longer than 14 consecutive days. Advertisements must be made of paper material and be 24" x 36" in dimension.

Through our services and dedication to the Mason Spirit, Student Centers builds, develops, and enriches environments for the Mason Community.

Who is Student Centers?

We are a team of undergraduate and graduate students, part-time and full time staff dedicated to building, developing and enriching environments.

These environments include:

The organization and condition of Student Centers facilities and equipment.

The team of staff selected, trained and organized to provide services.

The university policies and department procedures designed to execute services.

The information the Mason Community understands about our services.

Why Does Student Centers Build, Develop and Enrich Environments?

Student Centers’s motivation is the Mason Community which includes students, staff, faculty, departments, recognized student organizations, vendors, alumni, parents, business partners, administration, local residents, and visitors of George Mason University.

How Does Student Centers Build, Develop, and Enrich Environments for the Mason Community?

Student Centers accomplishes its mission through our services and dedication to the Mason Spirit.

We define the Mason Spirit as the sense that you belong at Mason, that you have become a part of the Mason Community. It is the desire to be a part of a university for the world. The Mason Spirit is pride in wearing green and gold, the belief that we are a part of something different, something bigger than ourselves, and that we are building something exciting.
