In the words of our own Kim Saks: "Sami could have left us two years ago to go to an ivy league school but he stayed here where he could get the opportunity to do his own faculty-supported research, moot court, and student government. He is emblematic of why our little campus gives such big opportunities and how you can end up anywhere--even one of the best law schools in the nation--from here."

Join us in celebrating Sami as he graduates this semester!

At only 20 years old, Sami Kotob is set to graduate with dual bachelor's degrees in political science and economics. Learn more of his story.

About the Department of Political Science at the University of Michigan-Flint

The Department offers several concentration programs leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree: The General Program in Political Science; the Honors Program in Political Science; the Joint Program in Social Sciences with an emphasis on Political Science (see Social Sciences). Two minors are offered, a Minor in Political Science and a Minor in International Relations.

In addition, the Department provides pre-law advising for all University of Michigan-Flint students, regardless of major. It also offers an Internship in Public and Community Affairs open to a wide range of students, not just political science majors.

We offer a wide range of programming year round about political and social issues, including a monthly discussion series called Coffee & Conversation.
