Leaders made here. Get your degree in business from the University of Michigan-Flint. News & World Report.
The School of Management, established in 1975, is the oldest professional school on the Flint campus and occupies more than 27,000 square feet of recently renovated Riverfront Center. Our facilities are technology-rich and include a 24-hour finance lab with interactive investment and stock trend displays, a video recording classroom, a video conference classroom that allows for live joint classes
to be held with partnering international institutions or hybrid “Hyperflex” courses, private meeting rooms for students to study and work on group projects outside the classroom, and teamwork areas for student organizations to host meetings.. The School of Management employs a number of dedicated, full-time academic advisors and staff to assist our students in a number of ways. Because your success before and after graduation is of the utmost importance to us, the school’s professional staff present a number of professional preparedness workshops and industry networking events throughout the academic year. Our professional staff also provide services to our students with scheduling and curriculum advising, assistance in academic appeals, notifications about internships and job openings in various business fields, and information on tutoring. The school is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. AACSB International accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in management education. We deliver our programs to a diverse group of graduate and undergraduate students primarily in Michigan and the surrounding region using a variety of learning/teaching approaches that focus on skills, abilities, technology, and knowledge vital to organizations. At the undergraduate level, the school offers eight business majors, six business minors including Entrepreneurship, an honors business program, and certificates in leadership, international business, and market analysis. Students have the opportunity to complete the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program 100% online and was ranked #1 in Michigan and top 20 in the country for online bachelor of business programs by U.S. In fall 2021, the School of Management added the Joint (4-1) BBA + MBA program where qualified students can complete an MBA degree with up to 21 fewer credits than if the MBA degree were pursued separately. At the graduate level, the school also offers three graduate degrees – a Master of Business Administration that allows students to specialize in one of eight concentrations areas, and a Master of Science in Accounting that prepares students to become CPA or succeed in other high-level accounting positions, and Master of Science in Leadership and Organizational Dynamics that focuses on how to strategically implement theories through simulated “real world” applications and exercises in the classroom and the online environment. The school also offers a Graduate Certificate in Business program and a number of Dual Degree programs for students with career paths that would benefit from a multi-discipline education. There are also a number of scholarships given exclusively to business students. During the 2020/2021 academic year, the School of Management awarded more than $200,000 in scholarships to students.
