Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, begins at sunset tonight. On this holiest day of the Jewish calendar, we wish a blessed Yom Kippur to all of our Jewish students, colleagues, neighbors, and all who celebrate.

Eid Mubarak to our Muslim friends and neighbors!!

For those asking "Didn't we just celebrate this 2 months ago?" that was a different Eid!!
This Eid isn't about fasting or Ramadan, but instead the end of Hajj (the pilgrimage to Mecca all Muslims are called to do), and Abraham/Ibrahim's obedience to God, as shown in his willingness to sacrifice his son.

So today, think about what you're willing to sacrifice to help each other. And, if you're not Muslim, let your Muslims friends know you're celebrating with an enthusiastic "Eid Mubarak!"
