They have established a new procedure that we as current employees can refer or guide a candidate or interested party as a “step up” in the applying process. All that needs to be done is to give contact information and a copy of your resume and position applying for prior to their submission, and they can refer that individual to both local and corporate HR leads. As of today, they have 27 active positions open with another 15 on the horizon. This can also be used not only in Charles City, but in our other 6 affiliated sites in the US as well.

Are you passionate about crafting exceptional cocktails and leading a dynamic team? Surf Galley is looking for an experienced and motivated Bar Manager to join our team. Our restaurant combines a modern dining experience with an innovative cocktail program, offering an unforgettable atmosphere for our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service
• Lead, train, and motivate bar staff to deliver high-quality customer service
• Create and maintain an exciting cocktail menu, focusing on seasonal ingredients and trends
• Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control for all bar supplies
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to maintain a seamless guest experience
• Foster a positive and professional work environment

Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a Bar Manager or Senior Bartender in a fast-paced restaurant or bar setting
• Strong knowledge of cocktail techniques, spirits, wines, and beer
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and handle a busy bar environment
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of POS systems and bar inventory management software
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
