We had Dr. Croo from UnityPoint Health - Fort Dodge and a few medical students from Des Moines University come to visit us today at Sim. They ran through a trauma scenario with our Gaumard Adult Male manikin Hal, learned about chest tube placement, and ran through a few IV starts.

While here they also were able to speak with our new AI Gaumard manikin Hank.

Our simulation center is the first in the state of Iowa to have an AI capable Adult Male Simulator from Gaumard. He can mimic signs of stroke such as right and left sided facial drooping, seizures, sweat, cry, as well as move his right arm, shake hands, reach up to his chest and so much more.
