What have our swimmers been up to this summer?? Rafael participated in a national meet where the best clubs of Bolivia compete. His medley swimming club won its ninth consecutive year in winning this meet at the national level. Rafael participated in the 50, 100 and 200 meter freestyle events. In the 100 meter freestyle he placed 5th at national level, then in the 200 meter freestyle he placed 4th at national level, and in the 50 meter freestyle he placed 6th at national level. Rafael also participated in the 4X50 meter freestyle relay, where he placed 2nd, then had 4X50 meter combined relay, also getting 2nd place, and 4X50 freestyle mixed relay where they won 1st place and obtained his third national record. Rafael also wants to emphasize that his swimming club is going to its second consecutive Olympics, the swimmer of his club, María José Ribera Pinto, qualified to the Olympic Games in Paris 2024 and fills the team with pride to all the swimmers of the club.

This afternoon we had our end of the year team banquet. We had a fantastic season and are so proud of everything the swimmers have accomplished! 🔱🔱Our award winners are
Most Improved: Morgan Jacobs and Rafael Gallegos
Most Outstanding Performance: Jenna Braun and Luis Oliveira
Coaches Award: Jenna Braun and John Starrett

Also, huge shoutout to the IC Culinary department for making our delicious cake!
