🔱After a long weekend at North Platte, NE our double header is over! Mid-Plains Community College Rodeo Team put on an outstanding two rodeos! Here are the results from the rodeos:

🔱Rodeo 1:

Men’s team- 4th
Women’s team- 8th

🔱Coy Nelson 8th in the steer wrestling
🔱Colton Mason 8th in the Tie Down
🔱Caden Ruff and Cash Owens 3rd in the Team Roping
🔱Wyatt Heer and Colton Mason 4th in the Team Roping
🔱Stella Oland 8th in the Barrels

🔱Rodeo 2:

Men’s Team 3rd
Women’s team Tied 6/7th

🔱Zoe Tunks 3rd in the Goat Tying in the long go
🔱Dawson Davis tied for first in the long go, 2nd in the short go for 2nd in the average in the Tie Down Roping
🔱Drake Foutch 4th in the long go,
4th in the short go and 3rd in the average in the Tie Down roping
🔱Cash Owens 2nd in the first round, 2nd in the 2nd round to be the Saddle Bronc Champion of the weekend!
🔱Cody Owens 7th in the 1st round
🔱Wyatt Heer and Colton Mason won the long go and unfortunately came up empty in the short go but still place 6th in the average.
🔱Dawson Davis and Luke Mavity (Blkhls) placed 7th in the long go
🔱Nolan Waters 2nd in the Bull Riding in the second round!!

First college rodeo in the books! Men’s team finished 3rd over all. The Women’s team ended up 7th.

🔱 Dawson Davis 1st the long go in the Tie down roping. 4th in the short go to win the average!! (Pictured below)

🔱 Drake Foutch split 4/5th in the long go in the Tie down roping. 4th in the short go to end up 3rd In the average!

🔱 Caden Skinner was 9th in the long go in the Tie down roping. Unfortunately he roped a whole body in the short go and fought the calf until the buzzer!

🔱 Cody Owens was 4th in the long go in the saddle bronc. Split the win in the short go to end up 3rd in the average!!

🔱 Cash Owens won the long go in the saddle bronc. Unfortunately bucked off his horse in the short go!

🔱 Stella Oland tied for 10/11th in the barrel racing in the long go. Was 9th in the short go to end up 9th in the average!!

Congratulations to Jesse Vesperman for being invited to the 2025 Jr. Ironman in Guthrie, OK in February! This is such an honor and an accomplishment to be invited! There are very few that get invited to this event and Jesse was one of them! This is so well deserved and such an honor!! To say his family, coaches, teammates and his whole support team is proud is an understatement!! Good Luck Jesse, "Go Do You"!

Rounding out the field for the 2025 Jr Ironman, the National Little Britches Rodeo Association "NLBRA" qualifiers are ready to show up to Guthrie and compete for the $20,000 check and Montana Silversmiths championship buckle.

Our thoughts prays to family and friends!!Our deepest condolences! 💜

We are deeply saddened today to learn about the passing on one of our own today, Sydney Dunlap. Sydney was a previous alumni from the MPCC Rodeo team and was larger than life.
She had a bright smile that would light up any room she walked into and would be always willing to help out where it was needed. We would like to offer our condolences to both friends and family as we navigate through this difficult time.

🔱Drew Lind was a 79.5 on his 3rd round ba****ck horse! Which put him 11th in the nation, with him splitting the 3rd round! The top 12 in the ba****ck riding will battle it out tomorrow night to see who the national champion ba****ck rider will be! Good luck to Drew! Go do you!!!!!🔱🔱Cash Owens didn’t quite make it to the buzzer on his 3rd horse tonight! Unfortunately that will not get him back for tomorrow night! Cash we are so proud of you!! Keep doing you kid, you have great things coming your way🔱. 🔱Sage Vance got bucked off his bull but was not because lack of effort. The bull bucked and that is just part of it unfortunately! 🔱Rachel Werkman ran her 3rd run tonight in the barrel racing! Rachel was a 14.2! .2 faster than her last run! They just keep getting faster and faster!! This team is so fun to watch! Great job tonight Rachel!🔱

🔱 Rachel Werkman had a great run in the 2nd round in the barrels!! She shaved off .3 off her time from the 1st go round! She will run in the 3rd go Wednesday night!🔱

🔱 Drew Lind was a 70 on his Ba****ck horse. He did really well riding and finishing strong! Unfortunately his horse did not help him much! He will get his 3rd horse Friday night🔱

🔱Cody Owens was a 60 in the saddle bronc. He did good getting her covered. He rode well and finished strong! Cody will have his 3rd horse on Thursday night! Stay tuned🔱

🔱 Rachel Werkman had a decent run this morning in barrels to be a 14.7. She will have her Second run tomorrow morning.
🔱Sage Vance had to get on two bulls. First one was offered a reride. Unfortunately he bucked off his reride.
🔱Cash Owens in the Saddle Bronc scored a 72.5 in the second round. Which has him setting in the top 10, for round and Average!

First round of the rough stock comes to an end today! - 🔱-Drew Lind was a 71.5 in the bareback riding! Which placed him in the top 20. 🔱-Cody Owens in the saddle bronc riding rode his first horse. She didn’t have much buck to her so he was offered a reride! Unfortunately he bucked off his reride. 🔱-Sage Vance had a bucker in the bull riding where he came down a little too early. 🔱-Cash Owens was a 74 in the saddle bronc! He placed 9th in the first round! 🔱Tomorrow morning we start back up with the second round of rough stock and the first round of the timed events! 🔱The third and final round is over! Tonight Cash Owens put a heck of a ride together, unfortunately he blew a stir up right at the buzzer for a no score. Cael Hilzendeger and Dawson Davis came up short in the team roping for a no time. They take the top 8 back to the Shoot out round tomorrow night! Making the Shoot Out round is Drew Lind in the bareback riding placed 6th, Coy Nelson in the tie down roping placed 3rd and Cael Hilzendeger was 2nd in the steer Wrestling! 🔱 Second performance just finished up! Drew Lind was a 75 in the Bareback riding! Dawson Davis had a good run but unfortunately was a little to long in the tie down roping. After the second performance, Drew Lind is sitting 4th in the bareback, Coy Nelson is sitting 3rd in the tie down roping and Cael Hilzendeger is still sitting second in the steer wrestling!!
