Congratulations to Chris Ozmun and Jackie Kaska our winners of the Iowa Central Pas Hog Raffle. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets to help support our chapter! Also a big thank you to Lohrville Locker for donating the processing and for all the support they have given Iowa Central PAS over the years!

Seven of our PAS students chose to spend their spring break at the PAS National Conference in Springfield, Illinois. They spent four days networking, attending workshops, listening to speakers from the industry, and competing in their events. We are very proud of this entire group and know we will see big things from each of them in the future.

Team Competition Results:
Beef Team of Nick Kaska, Hannah Boekleman, and Andrew Burke 6th place.
Poultry Team of Maggie Norgaard, Logan Ozmun, and Aaron Noh 4th place.

Individual Competition Results:
Chloe Hurtado 5th place in Agribusiness Systems Career Progress
Nick Kaska 1st place in Ag Sales Employment Interview

Several of our students attended the State PAS conference in Moravia, IA Feb 6-8. They had the opportunity to network with other agriculture students from throughout the state and compete in competitions that help prepare them for the work force. Congratulations to the following teams and individuals on their qualifications to nationals. The Poultry team made up of Logan Ozmun, Maggie Norgaard, and Aaron Noh finished in first place. Our beef team made up of Nick Kaska, Hannah Boekelman, and Ellie Noonan finished in fifth place. Individually Nick Kaska was first place in Ag Sales Employment Interview, Chloe Hurtado was third place in Ag Promotion and Marketing, Hailey Cook was fourth in Ag Sales, and Haylie Fry was fifth in Ag Sales. We are very proud of all the students who competed at the conference.
