The below information is a summary of an email sent to all incoming first-year students earlier today (6/1/2025). Please direct all inquiries to Parking & Transportation Services.

Incoming first-year students who want to bring a car to campus, here’s an important update about parking permits:

Key Details:
-A limited number of parking permit exemptions are available for first-year residential students.
-All requests will be entered into a lottery system, and a select number of permits will be granted.
-The exemption form will be open from June 1 - June 30.
-Students who are selected will be notified the week of July 7.

Where to Apply:
Students should visit https://parking.tcu.edu/ for the exemption form.

Parking & Transportation Services encourages students to explore alternative transportation options, such as rideshare services, ZipCar rentals, the on-campus transit system, or carpooling with friends. Please note that parking lots may not be located near residential buildings, so plan accordingly.
