Over 40% of college students suffer from food insecurity. This makes it even harder for students to be successful. Not only does this affect the "traditional" student bit the older students as well. This year the HutchCC Blue Dragon Food Pantry helped 100s of students with family food boxes, meat bundles, school supplies, hygiene products and more.

Our pantry is pretty bare. The picture below shows what we need the most. If you are able to help, please reach out to Bailey at [email protected] or myself at [email protected]. We appreciate you!

Monday is the big day, our Annual Back to School Cur Day for Reno County school age kids!

We will be giving free haircuts to all kids living in Reno County entering grades pre-k-12th grade. No appointment necessary, and cuts are given on a first come, first served basis. Cuts will begin at 10 am on August 14th, and we will be done cutting at 2 pm!

For the first time in at least 6 years, the Collegian won the All Kansas Award as the top juco newspaper in Kansas. the staff also won 48 individual awards. Good work all around!
