Topeka High Talent: NiJaree Canady (left) & Kiki Smith (right) were all-state teammates on the Topeka High basketball team. They were one of the best 6A teams in Kansas, finishing undefeated in 2020 (Forever Four cancellation after quarterfinals & second under HC Hannah Alexander in 2021, while Canady didn’t play in 2022 because of softball). Combining for 40-50 points happened A LOT. Now Canady is the National POY in D1 🥎 & Smith was the NJCAA National🏀 POY after leading Hutchinson to the NJCAA title as a freshman. Smith will play for Arkansas next season.
