Our Story

The Hutchinson Community College Physical Therapist Assistant program is designed as a 1+1 program that allows you to take general education classes prior to admission to the program, which can be taken at your own pace! Once admitted, you will complete the training in approximately 12 months, which includes fall, spring, and summer semesters.

Graduates will receive an Associate of Applied Science degree in Physical Therapy Assistant. Once completed, each graduate will be eligible to take the national boards to work as a physical therapist assistant. This certification can follow a graduate anywhere in the United States.

Being a physical therapist assistant is a very rewarding career that allows you to make an impact by helping those with debilitating injuries or illnesses return to work or activities they enjoy.
