Last weekend we commissioned our Spring 2024 Fellows and sent them out into the world to be principled Christian leaders. We truly enjoyed having these fine young men and women in our lives for 4 months and will miss them dearly. We are so excited to see what the Lord has in store for each of them. Thank you to all the alumni, families and friends who made the trip to join us for a wonderful weekend. Now on to Fall recruitment we go!

This week at Tea, Fellow Stephen Sills presented on the relationship between anime, politics, and the soul, exploring how Japanese animation gets at the universal questions of western philosophy. The group welcomed some special guests: Mr. and Mrs. Schaller’s daughter Madeline, her husband Joe, and their new baby, Jacob. Thursday was the Fellows’ last hospitality dinner, with John Jay favorites, the Reverends Mark Rudolph and Ken Cook and their beautiful wives, Lynn and Margie. Friday brought the group to LOGAN Hope School for service work and fun with the kids. Despite a flat tire, they still managed to get some work done and have a great time!

Then on Thursday evening, they attended the Davenant Institute Dinner. Friday brought the group to Capitol Hill, where they met with JJI alumnus Stephen Siao, followed by a tour of the Capitol by JJI alumnus Collin Bastian and a visit with Erin Schmitz and AT Johnston. The Capitol visit wrapped up with Dr. Susan Gates. After lunch, the group headed to the Heritage Foundation, where they met with JJI alumnus Ross Hougham, Rob Greenway, and Lindsey Burke.
