Don’t miss the host of events and activities planned for this year‘s multicultural day: discovering our ancestors to honor our future. Multicultural day showcases the cultural, gender, and social diversity of the Pierce College community in order to foster a more inclusive and equitable campus climate. The first multicultural day at Pierce was organized in spring 2019. After a zoom version was held during the pandemic in 2020, multicultural day has taken place every April since 2023. Multicultural day is organized by the diversity committee in collaboration with the A*O, the Pierce multicultural center, guided pathways, the career center, and all of our volunteer faculty members, students, and administrators. Swipe through for details of all the performances and presentations taking place during the 11 am hour for multicultural day 2025.

Don’t miss all the Multicultural Day events next week on April 23rd! Keynote Performance: Sisters of the One Drum on Multicultural Day, April 23, 2025 in the Great Hall from noon - 1 p.m. Multiculural Day showcases the cultural, gender, and social diversity of the Pierce College community in order to foster a more inclusive and equitable campus climate. Sisters of the One Drum is an inter-tribal drum circle. Through the transformative medicine of the drum, we bring women together in a sacred circle, fostering unity and empowerment. Our goal is to amplify the voices and roles of inter-tribal women in our community, offering them a platform for self-expression and spiritual growth.

Although it is spring break this week, all administrative operations at Pierce College as well as the campus will be closed W-TH April 9-10 due to a campus wide power outage. Campus will reopen Friday, April 11, 2025.

Reminder: Pierce College will be closed tomorrow, March 31, in honor of César Chávez Day. César Chávez was a civil rights leader, labor organizer, and champion of nonviolent activism. His lifelong fight for justice, dignity, and fair treatment for farmworkers continues to inspire generations. “Si, se puede!”
