Funding opportunity! We have opened our 2022 Request for Proposals for the USC Stevens Technology Advancement Grants (TAG) program. TAG awards provide USC researchers up to $100,000 for a project duration of no more than one year and support unlicensed, early stage technologies invented at USC through validation or proof-of-concept development.

The USC Dornsife Ph.D. Academy supports Dornsife Ph.D. students to help them thrive during each year of their Ph.D. program. We want to highlight the amazing students that are a part of our unique community.

This month’s student spotlight is on Roshni Lulla, a first-year Ph.D. candidate in the Brain and Cognitive Science program in the Department of Psychology. Roshni won the Brooks Kushman Patentability Award at the 14th Annual USC Stevens Student Innovator Showcase in November 2021. Congratulations, Roshni!

Did you miss our USC Stevens Student Innovator Showcase? Read our recap story for all the details about our annual event where USC student entrepreneurs pitched their startup and business ideas for cash prizes and in-kind awards. Six teams won a total of over $30,000 and additional in-kind awards valued at over $30,000, representing a range of creative business ideas, including a medical device for cancer patients, a platform for college athletes to monetize their media, an app to help the visually impaired, and more.

On Nov. 17, 2021, the USC Stevens Center for Innovation hosted its 14th Annual USC Stevens Student Innovator Showcase, where USC student entrepreneurs pitched their startup and business ideas to compete for cash and in-kind awards.
