IDEAS at UCLA is the official voice of undocumented students at the UCLA campus.

Since 2003, Improving Dreams Equality Access and Success at UCLA has been a trailblazer in the immigrant rights movement by giving a face and voice to the issues of immigrant youth on-campus, in the community, and across the nation.

Hi friends✨ We know last night’s election has left an impact on many in our community. We understand that many of us are still processing the recent events and we want you to know that what you are feeling is valid. We are collaborating with USP to host a Healing Space for people to come and be in community. Join us tomorrow at the Bruin Resource Center located in the Students Activities Center from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. We will be having food and enjoying a sound bath that will be led by one of our community members. We hope to see you there!!✨

🕯️ IDEAS at UCLA (), SURGE at Cal State LA (), & the Undocumented Student-Led Network () would like to invite all of the undocumented community members and allies from the Los Angeles area and beyond to our Candlelight Vigil. Join us as we share stories of our collective and individual resistance, solidarity, and joy. As we share these stories, we will also continue to raise our voices and collectively demand Gov. Gavin Newsom ( ) sign Assembly Bill 2586 IMMEDIATELY!

🗣️ Our vigil will take place this upcoming Tuesday, September 17th, 2024 beginning at 7PM at the Los Angeles City Hall. We will have light refreshments and pastries, official shirts, and a loving community for ALL undocumented persons, immigrants, AND ALLIES alike!

💐 Only in community can we push forward on the path ahead, we need YOU to join us on Tuesday as we recharge our energies and empower one another. All we ask is that ANY and ALL who join this space, do so with a sense of respect, of empathy, and of compassion. This is intended to be a safe space for all those committed to the liberation of all peoples.
