It’s Scholarship Tuesday! This Tuesday we wanted to recognize one of our very own PTK members and her accomplishment! Sacha Sigler was the recipient of the PTK Bridge to Georgetown University Scholarship for the completion of her bachelor’s in interdisciplinary studies! Sacha states that “I am so honored and grateful for this opportunity as only one student per year is eligible through Georgetown University’s selective application process.
The scholarship pays for half of my tuition to Georgetown University during my duration in the program.” We wanted to send a huge congratulations to you Sacha! Good luck with everything and we wish you the best! 💛💙

Hi all! If any of you are interested, they are in of need some help with the women’s volleyball match against Trinity Baptist on Tuesday. The match is in Cartersville Student Center at 6pm, would like you there by 5:30pm. What is in need are:

On behalf of our PTK Chapter, we wanted to say a huge congratulations our very own Kara King for her win of the Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholarship! This award is sponsored by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation. They recognize 200 Phi Theta Kappa members with awards that total up to $200,000. A panel of independent judges have selected this year’s recipients from around 1,500 applicants. Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholars are selected based on outstanding academic achievement and demonstrated leadership potential. Winners of this award were selected from those that completed the Phi Theta Kappa Spring Scholarship.

Welcome back Chargers!!
With the fall semester in full gear, we wanted to post a quick welcome back post for all of our PTK members! Just a few quick announcements to start off this semester…

•Chapter Meetings:
Member meetings will be every 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 5:00pm online via Teams. Meeting Reminder and Link will be emailed to membership and you may always email your chapter VP of Social Media-Katelynn Smith ([email protected]) for information.

•IMPORTANT AND UPCOMING SAVE THE DATES:
~Our Upcoming Fall Regional Conference will be October 11th at AMSC, more information will be announced soon so stay tuned!
~Fall Scholarship Application is currently open and will be due December 3rd.
~ PTK Awareness Week will be September 23rd-27th; More information will be posted within the next week!
~ PTK Founders Day will be November 19th.

So excited to have watched our President, Mike Hobbs, accept his Paragon President’s award at Catalyst!

Our Regional President, Holden, held the GA flag in the opening conference flag ceremony!

GHC Alpha Psi Omicron chapter had a blast at Catalyst this week! We are so honored to have won the International Distinguised Chapter Officer Team award and we are overjoyed that our fellow GA regional officer from Atlanta Metro, Juliette Seymour, made it to the PTK Division II International Officer finals!
