The Research Institute at Western Oregon University

The Research Institute at Western Oregon University TRI houses 8 Centers that inform and facilitate change in education, health, and human service systems to improve the quality of life for all individuals.

The Research Institute (TRI) at Western Oregon University improves the quality of life for individuals by facilitating positive change in education, health, and human services systems. To attain this vision, TRI conducts a comprehensive multi-disciplinary program of research, evaluation, program/model training, development, technical assistance, direct service, and dissemination serving both typic

al and special populations of all ages at the local, state, regional, and national levels. TRI is guided by partnerships with consumers, families, and practitioners and measures the effectiveness of its work by the impact on their lives. A focus on special education in the mid 1970’s began TRI's continued national prominence, initially in early childhood special education, then services to families of students with deaf-blindness, and now contributing to educator effectiveness pre-K through high education, all while respecting the importance of the health and well-being of the individual.

The final day of The Research Institute at Western Oregon University Leadership Conference is in the books!🎉 The NeighborImpact Child Care Resources team has had a blast, just look at our Baby Promise Program Manager’s face, April clearly had a great conference! 🤪 Today was another day full of inspiring speakers and sessions on topics such as Supporting Professionals Serving Infants & Toddlers, Leadership & Reflective Practices, Supporting Developmentally Appropriate Program Practices, and so much more. It’s been an energizing few days here in Salem and we’re excited to get back to Central Oregon to get back to supporting our Early Childhood Educators.

‼️Today we were also able to gather some more information on the Market Price & Supply Study (MPSS) happening next month! Be on the lookout for that information soon! Don’t know what the MPSS is? Send us an email at [email protected] to learn more! ‼️
