Early Childhood Inclusion Summer Institute

Early Childhood Inclusion Summer Institute Summer Institute participants will have the opportunity to stay on campus and make use of the dining hall.

The first annual Early Childhood (EC) Inclusion Summer Institute is a unique event that is not available anywhere else in Oregon. With the College of Education and the Teaching Research Institute at WOU hosting, the Summer Institute promises to be exciting event that will draw families, preservice and practicing teachers, as well as service providers from around the state to join in the conversati

on around Putting it All Together: Inclusion in Early Childhood. In addition, several social events are being arranged to further engage everyone, both on the WOU campus and with the Monmouth community. We are also partnering with local and statewide early childhood organizations, as well as others to create a quality event that encourage everyone to come back year after year. Summer Institute participants will be able to get professional development units (PDU's), or choose from either undergraduate or graduate credit for an additional fee.

Morning has broken, and today is preconference day. This morning a group will be headed to the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde to learn about culturally responsive practices, and come back to WOU for lunch and an afternoon workshop. It’s going to be a great day!!
